MEET THE ARTIST

Sydney was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida, where she trained in various dance styles from the age of three. She then moved to one of the greatest cities in the world at only 18 years old: New York City. Sydney prides herself on her quick mind, hard work ethic, and skilled body. As a triple threat who dances, sings, and acts, Sydney loves to shine on stage.

Recently, Sydney participated in pre-production for Ragtime at Lincoln Center Theater with Ellenore Scott. She was also in pre-production for South Pacific at Bucks County with Denis Jones, as well as Newsies and La Cage Aux Folles at The MUNY with Richard J. Hinds. Sydney's extremely fast learning abilities have also made her an asset as an assistant for multiple NYC choreographers including Lizz Picini, Richard Hinds, Rachel Leigh Dolan, Elyn Collier, and Gwen Potter.

 

Sydney graduated from Broadway Dance Center's Professional Semester where she trained closely with choreographers such as Skye Mattox, Lizz Picini, Rachel Leigh Dolan, Mike Esperanza, Elyn Collier, and many more. She also performed during the Professional Semester Program at Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater. There she was featured in five different pieces and was also a dance captain for a tap piece. While living out her dream in New York, she also graduated with both her Bachelor's degree in Advertising and Master's in Mass Communications from the University of Florida, online. When she's not dancing, you can often find Sydney enjoying the sun, working out, spending time with friends, or eating dessert. Sydney is a genuine person who thrives on leadership, engagement, and communication.
